Tell the user what files that it has chosen for automatic deletion before doing so.

This provides a level of confort to the user so he/she may ok the programs choices. I did a manual scan and the program mis- identified duplicates belonging to different execs used as startup pictures. Also it seems that different webpages use the same tiff, gif ...etc naming convention, so when scanning for duplicates different locations have the same names so the program thinks that one or more are open for deletion. They are not. The downloaded webpages are in different directories.

These are basically minor issues because of the picture files involved. I sometimes dl pages to view offline at a later time, so no huge deal.

It properly identified "real" duplicates and I managed to eliminate 4.5gig of extra files.

In my humble opinion I would make it clear that a duplicate means "one" file is still needed, by forcing the selection of all duplicate files found............. impossible. Customer can never delete both duplicates. I would create this option by having checkbox's that always "miss" one duplicate.

For example: the program finds four duplicates. The option to delete is only available for three of the files. If the user happens to want to delete the file that the program hasnt given a checkbox, simply clicking on the needed file moves a checkbox from one of the other files to the needed file so there is no way that a user could delete all of the files found an dpossibly making a program unusable.

This would enforce the understanding that this program is for finding duplicates, not files for deletion.

I like this program. I would like it better if it made me feel more sure in that it understood the differences in the issues that I found.

Thanx
